We always feel so honored to see our work featured in 100 Layer Cake
Enjoy, ~Sylvia
Hi there!!!! Here are some pictures of the work we did for The Swoon Event at the Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier, San Diego this month (January 2017). I really do recommend to attend these type of bridal shows if you are planning your wedding. They are so much fun…. you get to meet some awesome wedding vendors and get the real feel of what their work is all about in real life. There is everything from caterers, bar tending companies, wedding planners, rental companies, hair and makeup, cakes, photographers and lets not forget some super talented florist 😉 Thanks to all the brides that stopped by our booth to say hi. It’s always an excited moment to meet in person. Since then I have met with a couple of brides on a personal consultation to discuss color, flowers and styles and it has been nothing but great times, good stories and the beginning of a great partnership. Thanks again in advance for considering SJ Floral Design for your wedding.
Hope you Enjoy!!!

Draping
Draping is another one of my favorite items to take in. This look makes it just so elegant and romantic. Personally I use it often for a chuppah or an arch but it can be done in so many different ways either to cover ceilings and walls, to bringing the attention to the head table or even to create a royal entrance for your special event.
Up Lights
Up lighting is an items that I strictly recommend to my clients specially if they are going minimal on the flowers this is a great option to create a dramatic look and atmosphere. With the potential to turn a dull colorless room into an impressive and mighty prospect, no matter the size or state of the room. The up lights will take over to help embellish the event venue from simple to stunning for any event. Look at some up lighting example below.
I do not recommend doing it yourself, like everything else for a beautiful and well done job hire a professional. You can start by hiring an event designer to assist you with the look and to hire a reliable and reputable vendors.
Hope you enjoyed this!
xoxo

Today I will be talking about what will be trending this 2015 for themes, colors and of course flowers!!
Theme: Couples are focusing less on large, traditional weddings and more on an alternative and warm intimate day. Smaller guest list, Family style, loads of personalized details and flowers are taken center stage once again. Menus embraced of your favorite foods, signature cocktails, and photos everywhere. Focus is on what makes your story special.

Number of Guest 27
Flowers: More is more, think Kim and Kanye’s wedding and that look that screams luxury is exactly what you should be looking for. Walls of flowers can serve as photos or ceremony backdrops. Large bouquets, centerpieces, and hanging arrangements—this trend will be both beautiful and expensive but unforgettable.

Color: 5 Nude wedding color ideas, Elegant Wedding Invites, show us some trending inspiration boards. Hope this could inspire you to finalizing your colors for you wedding.
May these ideas inspire you to start the planning for your wedding. I will also like to apologize in advance for any grammar or spelling errors. I admire and respect the art of writing but have to admit my forte is floral and design not writing. Still I hope you enjoyed it. Have a fabulous weekend.
